Fertility accessibility means ensuring that all our services and treatments are available to everyone, regardless of their physical, emotional or cognitive ability. We believe that fertility care should be available to everyone and we strive to create an environment that is inclusive of all abilities and which caters for different additional needs such as literacy, neurodiversity and sight loss. 

Undergoing fertility testing, preservation or treatment as someone with a disability or an additional support need can be challenging. From consultation to testing, treatment planning to recovery and follow-up, our team is here to guide you with honesty, sensitivity and expertise. Our whole team is familiar with our accessibility policy and are very happy to answer any questions you might have and to assist you if requested.

We are committed to making every step of the patient journey clear and accessible. To support this, we have transformed key documentation into easy-to-follow audio and video formats, allowing patients to engage with important information in a way that suits them best.

Whether reviewing treatment details, consent information, or aftercare guidance, these resources provide a more flexible, inclusive, and user-friendly experience — helping patients feel informed, confident, and supported at every stage.

Thérapie Fertility's primary clinics in Dublin and Belfast have been carefully designed to ensure full accessibility for all patients. The clinics are fully wheelchair accessible, with step-free entry and lift access to the first-floor facility, making it easy to navigate for those with reduced mobility. Spacious interiors, thoughtful layout, and convenient on-site parking further support a smooth and comfortable visit.

Every detail has been considered to create an inclusive, welcoming environment where patients can access care with confidence and ease.

We enhance accessibility by offering a network of satellite clinics, allowing patients to attend key appointments closer to home. This approach reduces the need for frequent travel to the main clinics, making treatment more convenient and manageable alongside everyday life. By providing consultations, monitoring, and support services in multiple locations, Thérapie Fertility ensures that more patients can access high-quality care in a way that is flexible, efficient, and tailored to their individual needs.

Our patient portal was implemented in order to make the service more accessible to all. This is a private online platform where all your queries are answered, you can review messages and instructions, can watch drug demonstrations, and view your medication calendar whenever you need to. Your test results are also shared with you here and available so you have your own information. You can make payments, review and sign consents, and access additional learning supports here too.

We design and build therapiefertility.com to meet the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We regularly review the site to make sure it stays accessible to as many people as possible, including patients who use assistive technology.

Steps we take to make the website easier to use:

• Our typography uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface specifically designed for readers with low vision.

• Layouts adapt to mobile, tablet and desktop so content stays readable at any screen size — and content can be zoomed up to 200% without breaking.

• Every interactive element (navigation, dialogs, forms, the cookie banner) is reachable by keyboard with clear focus indicators.

• We use semantic HTML and ARIA labels so screen readers can announce structure, headings, links, buttons and live updates correctly.

• Text and interactive elements meet the WCAG AA colour-contrast ratios.

• Images and icons include descriptive alternative text where they convey meaning, and are marked decorative where they do not.

• A site-wide search and on-page navigation help readers find information quickly without relying on the top menu.

• The cookie consent banner and preferences modal are fully keyboard-accessible and respect prefers-reduced-motion.
